Stairway to Heaven [Pili Valdivia]

SWTH is a self-commissioned design project that reflects on the importance of cultural diversity in schools for the development of the kids' individual identities. It essentially questions the strong segregation in Chilean primary education.

The exploration begins with an ephemeral public installation in the streets of Santiago, where flags are hung with written questions dwelling on diversity, such as “what colour is your blood?” or “what does your heaven look like?”. That serves as a starting point to expand the topic through a poem, a fashion editorial, a series of posters and a temporary website where it all comes together.
